Here's, a Hipstamatic app photo of Dan H's back, finished today.  The pumpkins, dates and the small leaves around the pumpkins were existing and done by another artist whom works out of state, I refurbished them and added the background elements.

Sparrows

I tattooed these sparrows on Sarah's forearms today (above).  We had a great time.  Sarah and her husband may have me convinced to give cyclocross racing a try!  The tattoos brought up nice opportunity to elucidate the difference between sparrows and swallows.  I believe they are often confused with one another, especially in terms of tattoo art and pop culture.  Having particular knowledge of birds and their variations of species, the birds depicted in this tattoo above are indeed sparrows, the bird that was intended for Sarah.  Here is an illustration of a sparrow...

Here is a tattoo I did, also on a woman named Sarah, depicting two barn swallows amidst other items, yet unfinished, but to be finished this December, 2010.  I hope this lil post can clarify the often confused birdies for any potential customers and artists.  Know your references folks!

Here is a sampling of what I had on display for our art show/second anniversary party here at LFDY.  All are available for purchase, including "Jaws" which you can see pictures of in an older post.  The celebration was a success, we welcome our third year of business.  

Landon's Arm

I added a peacock, some peonies and background around some existing tattoos on Landon's arm.  We did this in one long session and two short sessions.  I will likely be "refurbishing" the older tattoos in the near future.
