Times they are a Changin'

Some of you may have heard the rumors or murmurings concerning my departure from Broken Hearts Tattoo Club.  I am writing to confirm that these statements are true.  I will indeed be leaving Broken Hearts.  My last day will be Saturday March 15^th, 2014.  I will begin working (again) at the Ink Factory in Hudson Wisconsin, (the shop is just a short drive from the Twin Cities down 94, located on Main Street off of exit 1, 407 2^nd Street).  I will begin work at the Ink Factory Tuesday March 18^th.  My schedule will remain essentially the same: Tuesday-Saturday, 1-8 PM.  I am booking appointments at the Ink Factory as of today and you can call there to schedule: 715-381-2957, or as always, email me at misskitty@misskittytattoo.com.

I will keep my personal reasons for this departure brief.  It was not long ago that others and myself closed Live Fast to open Broken Hearts and I am appreciative of all of you who have followed me through the years and shown your appreciation for my craft.   However, my personal happiness is invaluable to me and I need to live a fulfilled and vital life.  This departure is part of my personal journey to actualize my goals.  I leave Broken Hearts of my own accord with a smile on my face open to the unknown future and new opportunities.  I am grateful to have worked with a skilled crew at Broken Hearts and I look forward to being part of the crew I have called family for over a decade at the Ink Factory once again.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this, and also for your patience.  I hope you can make the jaunt to visit me at the newly remodeled Ink Factory.  I hope to see you in the chair and I appreciate any efforts to help me spread the word of my relocation.

Just finished this tree tattoo today on Lauren's side.  The picture is fresh so the tattoo appears sepia toned but will heal to black and grey.

Update Delay

I think I have posted this photo before but I love it still.  That was how I felt today when I realized it was actually impossible to shut off my alarm clock.  Special prize to the person who can name the date I first posted this pic, post your answers in the comments below.  

My phone flew out of my bike basket a few weeks ago and shattered the screen pretty severely.  I picked most of the glass out of the critical area and have been resistant to making the big purchase of a new phone.  Well, yesterday the phone screen turned into a psychedelic strobing mess where I could barely make out the screen, enough so that I could set my alarm clock for this morning.  Fast forward four and a half hours, my phone alarm clock has been going off since six A.M. and the screen is blacked out, I can't shut it off since I can't see the screen.
I will be getting a new phone this afternoon and I am hoping I can rescue the photos from my back-up for the blog.  Either way, I will remain true to my promise of updating my blog on time.  I was a tattooing maniac over the weekend and did at least three or four really big drawings so I have lots of future tattoos in the works and finished tattoos to post since my last post.  Stay tuned!!!

Back at it...

Hello all.  I am back at bloggin' again.  I am trying to fill in all the missing spaces between my lapses at posting so bear with me.  I have deleted a lot of personal information and photos off of my page, right now I would like to keep a balance of sharing some non-tattoo and art postings but primarily have the focus remain on tattoos.  Stay tuned, I have a lot planned for the future and this winter....and while I have my soapbox back, GO VOTE this tuesday!

Sarah's Bleeding Hearts

Sarah got her bleeding hearts and bumble bee tattoos today, now the friendship tattoos between her and Danielle are complete.  You can view part of Danielle's tattoo here, (until I get better pictures).  

Scott's Roses

This tattoo on Scott W. covers a very large scar from a plate and screws in his arm from a serious break.  We finished this today, the vines extend down his arm.  

Emily's Dia Los Muertos Grandpa

I just put the finishing touches on Emily's Dia Los Muertos grandpa tattoo!  I'm glad to finally have pictures of this to post, enjoy.
