I'm Back!
I really had been slacking on updating the blog. I understand I won't gain any readership with a rarely updated page, hence, I am posting this to inform my readers that I am back to posting regularly and I am going to attempt to post retroactively a photo archive of what I've been up to the past several months, which has been a lot. Work is excellent currently and I am completely invigorated after the Minneapolis Tattoo Arts Convention that was just here. That said I also have a new printed portfolio which can be viewed at the shop, as well as new cards which are available for the taking. I will fill in the details of happenings and the convention experience in the posts to follow...

Minneapolis Tattoo Arts Convention Day 3
The convention went swimmingly, to say the least. Despite suffering from a cold of near zombie-pandemic proportions, I powered through and was able to experience a really great show. The convention wasn't huge, but was big on talent and had a great draw of tattoo enthusiasts. I was able to talk to many artists, local and national, who were bubbling over with enthusiasm, inspiration, kindness and information. I had sworn before this show that I would never be interested in working another convention and my mind was completely changed after this weekend. I was able to tattoo all day Saturday and Sunday and spent most of Friday in the booth talking to numerous passerby and enthusiasts. My favorite tattoos of the weekend that I was able to do were a semi-traditional swallow and a Dia Los Muertos lady on a forearm. I can't wait for my next opportunity to do it all over again, it's a ton of work but worth every minute of it.

Minneapolis Tattoo Arts Convention Day 2 Part 2
My favorite tattoo of Saturday, on a woman named Sally. I also tattooed some illustrations on Tyler from the album art of "The Fall of Troy," a tiny lucky seven tattoo with some traditional diamonds on Ashly, and a lip print on a woman's thigh....

The Girl Can't Help It!
A friend, Monique Rondeau, asked me to design and paint a logo for her up and coming pin-up girl clothing company, The Girl Can't Help It. Her clothing and company had a breakout unveiling at a fashion show at the CAF Hangar in St. Paul. The company features high end, vintage inspired, custom dresses available to order. Here is an image of the logo I was able to design for her on the cards. The fashion show was a great time and I felt honored that I was able to make her logo for her. Look for her dresses around town.
